Back from Hubbardton, VT

This past weekend there was a reenactment of the Battle of Hubbardton. It rained heavily on Friday night and my tent, a floorless 18th century French wedge tent, would have been half-way underwater had I not had a tarp underneath. Still, I manage to wake up Sat. morning to see my cell phone in the middle of a puddle of water that had managed to get on top of the tarp. The phone some how called Charlotte. Weird, right?

I did take the battery out and dried it and yet it didn’t seem to completely work. For a while it seemed the only digits that were working were 1, 4, and 7. The phone also started saying the battery was invalid. Monday morning at home it all started to work properly. I wish I could have photos of the event but I didn’t take my camera and was hoping to post photos from my phone.

There are a couple of photos of the event on Facebook. The First NH Regiment has a page at: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=325358498570 Thanks to Robert Paul, we have a few photos to share, one of them was me sitting on a log. I still have to find a period-authentic chair!
