Mountain Math is a warm-up activity that some grade levels at Daffron Elementary are working on daily. Mountain Math is a kit that has 22 problems and each problem works a specific grade-level skill that the student should master by the end of that grade. Each grade level’s Mountain Math kit is made for that grade level and is based on the Texas state objectives for that grade. Lorenzo’s fourth graders loved the problems when they did them during the 2003-2004 school year, as do many of his second graders during the 2004-2005 school year.
