Lorenzo has returned from his trip to Austin, sponsored by the Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE).

The event, ATPE Lobby Day, allowed Lorenzo to meet with House Representative Brian McCall and Senator Florence Shapiro, head of the Senate Education Committee. Following the meeting, Senator Shapiro had negative comments to share with the Austin American-Statesman newspaper about Lobby Day. Lorenzo Arredondo will be traveling to Austin, TX on January 30-31 to meet with legislators.

The event is Lobby Day, sponsored by the Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE), who sends educators to Austin to discuss the successes and needs of Texas schools and how the lawmakers in Austin can make a difference.
