Greetings from England!

Here are some photos from England. Charlotte and I are still here but I thought I’d upload some pictures while I had the chance. These photos are definitely tourist-like, but hey…we’re tourists! The whole photo set is available on the right sidebar or at Flickr.

The start of my reenacting hobby

This past weekend I was in my first Revolutionary War reenactment. I went to Tewksbury, MA on Saturday and Sunday. Though I didn’t camp over the weekend, or get to fire my musket because of not being trained, I did get to march with the First New Hampshire Regiment. On Saturday it was predetermined that the Loyalists would win. On Sunday it was not predetermined and the Colonists won. I did die though!

I was told I was going down, a Loyalist fired, I was reloading my gun like the regiment was ordered too before someone said that I should have fallen. I finally did, like 5 seconds after the guy had shot! The guy hadn’t even been aiming in my direction but, because of the inaccuracies of the black powder muskets, it might not have mattered in those days.

The weather was great and I got a little sun burned. There’s still more equipment to buy, but I’m getting there finally. Enjoy the photos from our camp. Not any from the battle because I was a little busy at the time!

Things are getting crazy around here!

Charlotte and I have received our U.S. passports and we are ready for a trip to England! We are leaving later this month. So much has happened and I’ll definitely have to update you on what we’ve been up to.

I made a brief appearance (at least in voice) during the CNET 404 podcast at 19:06 that was discussing the E3 electronics and gaming expo. Here’s the podcast: http://www.cnet.com/8301-13952_1-10256141-81.html
