  2. Advocacy Center for the Children of El Paso.

    The Advocacy Center for the Children of El Paso facilitates the investigation process for child victims. Volunteers are asked to assist with various activities such as: Supervising child victims while in Advocacy Center Playroom. Helping staff to coordinate interviews, phone calls and other clerical assistance. (Background check and application required).

  3. Alzheimer’s Association

    Develop and implement a series of events and seminars related to Alzheimer’s disease throughout the month of November. This person will be responsible for enlisting and coordinating sponsors, social agencies, medical community and physicians to participate in NAOM. Project: National Alzheimer’s Disease Month.

    Back on track has been in existence for over six years. We are a consulting agency we provide educational information to youth and adults who are referred to us form agencies that have identified them as gang members taggers or any other criminal behaviors. We are a community Based Program that employs a nontraditional approach in redirecting self-defeating behaviors to more positive ones.

  7. Baptist Clinic.

    The Baptist Clinic provides free medical care for indigent people. Student volunteers work alongside volunteer doctors, nurses, and other helpers. Primarily all volunteer work will be done on Saturday for 6-8 hours. Must be bilingual.

    This organization is seeking volunteers to become a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). The volunteers will gain hands-on experience in courtroom procedures, social services, juvenile justice system and the special needs of abused and neglected children

  4. Catholic Charities.

    Catholic Charities provides emergency assistance to the needy, including clothing, food. and financial aid. They also help people find jobs. Volunteers will do odd jobs. Hours will be completed on weekdays. Remember that office hours are from 8:00-4:30 P.M.

  5. Chamizal Collaborative Coalition.

    Needs assistance in developing and to enhance the collaborative youth program. Assistance is needed for recreation and sports instructors. These individuals would assist in planning, organizing and scheduling sports and teaching sportsmanship. Students are also needed for media relations work such as: newsletter design, graphics, layouts, editing, and bilingual articles. A student will also be needed to assist in grant writing and grant research.

  6. Child Crisis Center.

    The Child Crisis Center is a place for parents to leave their children during times of family crisis. Often it is because the parents have abused or are afraid they will abuse the children. Volunteers are needed 8am-8pm, Monday-Sunday. A criminal background check and a TB test is required. Also we are currently in need of some clerical volunteers.

  7. Christian Women’s Job Corps

    Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC) seeks to help a woman bring all of the pieces together that are necessary for her to make positive changes for herself and her family. CWJC takes a holistic approach to help women meet personal, educational, financial, employment, and spiritual goals. We need volunteers who would be willing to help these women with conversational English, or help in tutoring their children with homework or help with the curriculum or ESL.
